Having the highest rock exposure in Sahyadri, Katrabai wall stands next to Ratangad fort in Bhandardara region. Mount Katrabai, which is about 4200 feet high, has a beautiful view of the surroundings. High mountains, deep valleys, Bhandardara dam and many surrounding forts can be seen.
A narrow valley descends from the heights of Katrabai into the Konkan; this should be the deepest valley in the Sahyadri landing in Konkan. Its depth is about 1200 feet.
It offers a beautiful view of surrounding mountain ranges.
Peaks like Harishchandragad, Karkai, Kunjargad, Kaladgad, Balubai, Nhapta, fascinates you to the South and to the East stands Ajoba, Muda-Gavaldev, Ghanchakkar etc., Ratangad, Alang, Madan, Kulang, Kirda, Sakira, Kalsubai mountain range can be seen at the North.
It takes about two and a half hours to reach Katrabai peak from Kumshet village.

04:30 – Reach base village. i.e. Kumshet Village.
06:00 – Have A Breakfast.
06:45 – Group introduction & briefing about the trek.
07:00 – Commence trek to “Katrabai Mountain”.
10:00 – Reach top of the Fort. Explore Surroundings.

15:30 – Reach base village; Travel to Pune.
